OnPoint Athletics Basketball Camps will provide athletes with a week of skills, drills and competitions. Camp Director: Coach Derek Bedal
Coach Derek is an accomplished basketball coach with a diverse background across multiple levels of the game:
- Played competitive basketball from grades 6-12 for the Leamington Cougars & Kingsville Class
- Played AAU Basketball in Detroit, Michigan for MWA Elite
- Played WECSSAA high school basketball for UMEI Christian High School
- Team manager for University of Waterloo’s men’s basketball team for two seasons (2021-2023)
- Coach of the UMEI Christian High School boys’ basketball team (2023-Present)
- Head Coach for Hometown Hoops Elite U17 AAU team (2023-Present)
- UMEI Christian High School’s new Athletic Director (Present)
- Founder of Hometown Hoops (2021)
